OUTREACH
Our visit to Trans-Ekulu Girls Secondary School in Enugu, Nigeria, made a lasting impact on both students and the local community. By shedding light on the myriad non-coding career paths within the tech industry, we aimed to broaden the student’s perspectives and ignite their interest in various aspects of technology.
The innovation challenge we hosted provided an avenue for creativity and served as a platform for students to showcase their talents and problem-solving skills. The positive response and enthusiasm displayed by the students were evident indicators of the potential for fostering a tech-savvy generation.
Building on the success of this initiative, we are excited to share our plans for making an even greater impact next year, ensuring that a wider audience of young individuals gains exposure to the diverse career opportunities in the tech sector.
THE CHALLENGE
In our transformative initiative at Trans-Ekulu Girls Secondary School, we presented students with an exciting challenge that fostered creativity and problem-solving skills. We tasked them with three real-world problems and invited them to craft innovative technological solutions. The energy and enthusiasm that unfolded during the challenge were truly inspiring.
As these bright minds delved into each of the problem, we witnessed the emergence of ingenious ideas and technological solutions that showcased their immense potential.Â
Recognizing and celebrating excellence, we awarded fantastic prizes to the three most outstanding ideas. This not only served as a testament to the students’ ingenuity but also fueled their passion for technology and innovation.
